Volunteering

Volunteers play a vital role in making sure Fleetwood Festival of Transport goes ahead each year. We are grateful for the time and enthusiasm that our passionate volunteers provide.

We need more volunteers to make sure the festival goes ahead safely and to ensure the enjoyment of our visitors. If you would like to give a little of your time for the community we welcome volunteers of all ages and abilities and every hour counts.

In return we promise you a fun day in the midst of all the festival action.

We have many different volunteer opportunities available for example traffic steward, festival control, parade steward, information signposting and many more. Not all roles require long periods of standing.

You can volunteer for a full day, half a day or just a few hours. Whatever you can spare.

You’ll receive full training, a high viz vest on the day so people can easily identify you and a food and drink voucher to spend at local shops or food vendors.

It’s a really great opportunity but don’t just take our word for it:

“2026 will be my 3rd year volunteering at FFOT, it's a rewarding role where no two minutes are the same let alone two events.

One minute you could be directing people for the parade, the next proving customer service to the thousands of visitors and making yourself and the town proud.

Volunteers are an important part of the day and whether you can give a couple of hours or be crazy like me and do the entire day, the input is appreciated.

Plus you get breakfast (or lunch) provided depending on your shift.

Whether you have spent your life in the town or joined us recently, volunteering at this event is a great feeling.”
